Trip to Tibet Day 5

Today we drove from Luhuo to Dege.

Almost 5pm, we reached the bottom of Queer Hill. Upon that time, we didn’t realize that we have reached the destination of the day. We are still investigating how the GRS works when we drive along the narrow and winding roads up the hill. Suddenly we realized that we have entered the hill side road and all of us become quiet in second.
Finally, we have reached the hill top. We came down from our car to take photo. All of us got altitude sickness almost at same time. Only this moment that we concluded that we have forgotten to buy oxygen tanks. Luckily we are all young and fit enough to suffer sickness. Generally, most of the Beijing China tours will not require this, that’s why we are lack of experience and we have really learnt something.

Small lane of a village, I don’t know the exact name of the village.

Beautiful image on the way to Queer Hill. Blue sky with clouds and Tibetan village at the bottom of the hill.

A result for starting Tibetan tour without prior preparation work.

A Tibetan lady that we met on the way.

The proof for our arrival at the hill top of Queer Hill.

This is the exterior of the hotel that we stayed today. It is the largest and the best hotel at Dege, but we spent only 100++ per night only. So cheap!!! During our last Beijing to Xian tour, the hotel was very small in comparison to this one but the price was triple up the rate.
